Description
The 2019 Horus-M3 model has evolved details to further enhance performance performance. The neck is made of 5 pieces of maple and walnut to improve the strength of the neck. Additionally, the heel cut at the neck joint of the body has been made deeper, making it easier to access the 27th fret and improving playability. There are four body colors: Trans. Spectrum Black with Black Pearl, and a new hand-painted color Lapis-LazuliCarnelianAmethystTiger sEye.
Horus, which debuted in 1995, was co-developed with guitarist ChaChamaru. It was a unique guitar with a 628mm scale and 27 frets. In 2011, we adopted the M3 structure, changed the model name to Horus-M3, and improved its sound quality. In 2015, we evolved the body shape of Horus-M3 to Second Generation. The asymmetrical design completed with the TATSpecial design has been reflected in the Horus-M3, further evolving the asymmetrical design and making it easier to access the 27th fret.
The Horus-M3 is equipped with a high-put Caparison PH-R humbucking pickup and a neck position pickup SH-27F specifically designed for 27th fret guitars. Controls are the bare minimum master volume and pickup selector switch.
The inlay design on the head is Wedjat, representing the ancient Egyptian god Horus. You can choose between an Ebony fingerboard (EF) and a Maple fingerboard (MF).
The M3 body structure consists of a center piece of maple wood that is approximately the same width as the neck, with mahogany pieces placed on both sides. The maple material in the center of the body and the maple material in the neck are joined together using a bolt-on structure. The M3 body construction provides a fast onset, well-balanced sound, and rich sustain. Additionally, the M3 structure was designed with a gloss finish in mind. (Only the top of the head has a Pro.Black finish.)
