This has probaly never seen any service in any conflict of with any armed forces.

This is probaly a mass produced copy of a military item.

For something that was probaly massed produced, the build quality of the item is good.

The handle was painted to quite a low standard, the paint has been striped and sanded the polished with a good wax product.

The metal has had a buffing on a very large buffing machine with a good quality polishing compound and soft polishing wheel.

There is some age related damage and wear on the surface of the steel.

It has some paint missing on the shovel part tool.

The handle is 18" Long, the shovel is 8-1/2" long.

Overall the tool measures 28" long  the spade is 5-3/4" Wide.
