Vintage JOSEPH 100% Luxury Cashmere Designer Tailor Fitted Blazer Jacket

No dispatch between Dec 21-Jan 3

£550 paid   |   100% Cashmere   |   Premium Designer Label   |   Made in France

This versatile 100% cashmere blazer was purchased in the mid 90's at the JOSEPH Knightsbridge, London branch for £550.

Today you will only find blended material blazers in mainly wool with a tiny proportion of cashmere in Joseph starting at £600, or a manmade fabric one starting at £400.

Luxuriously crafted with the finest premium pure cashmere and flattering tailoring, this timeless easy-to-wear piece will make a great staple for your winter wardrobe, keeping you warm whilst looking smart & stylish.

Buttons are beautiful, they come in a darkish pearlescent tone showing some subtle abstract patterns that appear to change colours depending on the lighting.  Some of my photos show that they are marble beige but this is NOT the case to the naked eyes.  Despite many attempts, I have not been able to photograph the buttons as accurately as I'd like because the jacket is very dark and the button colour is not flat or matte, in fact, they are also tricky to describe and my text description is based my own observation, of which you may not agree when you see them in real life.
If knowing exactly how the buttons look is crucial, you will need to contact me before buying to discuss collect in person as I can't be responsible for any 'not as describe' claim.

Condition:  Briefly worn for no more than 3 occasions so it is in great condition with hardly any sign of wear.  This blazer sadly has not fitted me since ages ago and has been carefully stored in my moth-proof closet on a padded hanger with a fully zipped wardrobe cover.  Comes from a very clean home, pet & smoke free.
  • 100% Luxury premium quality cashmere
  • Mid-weigh fabric so it will keep you warm
  • Black in colour but my photos may show shades of grey
  • Fully lined, again black
  • Single-breasted, with a single bold button
  • 4 smaller buttons on each sleeve hem
  • 2 welt pockets to sides, a single welt pocket with details on left breast
  • Fully tailored, fitted, gently nipped at the waist, length sits at the hips
  • Lightly structured shoulders to ensure optimum wearability
  • Label indicates S, I would say it is approximately similar to UK 8-10, as this was my clothing size.  Being a French designer label, the sizing is typically not overly generous.
Approximate measurements made with metal tape in a straight line.  Garment laid flat, buttoned up.
40cm         Armpit to armpit straight across back
42cm         Armpit to armpit straight across front
37.5cm      Shoulder to shoulder across shoulder seams in a straight linenot along each seam as this won't make a straight line
60cm         End of shoulder seam to cuff hemline
63 cm        Nape to back hemline
37cm         Nape to waist where the waist seams appear with the deepest curve.

Please carefully review measurements and examine photos as they form part of the item description, any questions please ask before buying as I do not accept return or give refund, this includes 'Not Fitting'.

2nd hand garments and accessories (new & used)

I will pack the garment very well, but it may arrive with some wrinkles due to being folded in transit.

With exception of NEW items and dry clean only garments, they are laundered and air dried prior to the listing and then stored away in a clean environment until sold.

I never use any fabric conditioner as this impacts negatively on the environment and also very damaging to the fabric, especially the kind used for outdoor / waterproof garments, fleece garments and school uniforms.

Unless you buy brand new from a retailer, it is a fact that most 2nd hand garments and accessories (new or used) may typically have some degree of 'smell' from various substances which may commonly include laundry detergent, fabric conditioner, perfume, anti-static dryer sheets, air / room / wardrobe freshener, body deodorant, moth repellent, potpourri sachet, etc.  Any 'smell’ of this nature is always temporarily more elevated when the garment has been completely confined and sealed inside a plastic bag during transit, and anyone not used to a new smell may find it extra pungent.   Such ''SMELL' is subjective to each individual, even if you may not be keen of it, it is not a case of ‘Defect, damaged' or 'Not as Described'.  To neutralise any smell, I have found that the combination of laundering and airing out  is usually an effective measure, which is also a hygienic general practice to treat 2nd hand garments before wearing.   If you cannot accept this typical condition as part of purchasing 2nd hand, please buy brand new from a retailer instead.
