Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue LPR-9 Flame Top HS 2001

Description

GibsonCustomShopHistoricCollection1959LesPaulReissue(LPR-9)FlameTopHS2001
The highest peak series Historic Collection by Gibson Custom Shop, affectionately known as His Collection. This time, 1959LesPaulReissue (LPR-9) made in 2001.
It has an amazing heathered pattern that I have never seen before, and it looks outstanding even among the most popular 59 bursts, which has received the title of flame top. The color is a cherry sunburst with a subtle and beautiful gradation of red, and this is a model like the Premium Plus from the Historic Collection, but there is no particular description inside the cavity.

The certificate was also a paper one from the 2000s, and the reissues at that time had model names such as FiguredTop and FlameTop PremiumQuilt. There is also a description of FlameTop here. LPR-9s with this kind of heathered grain are rare, and they often sell out quickly when they arrive.

The 59 is characterized by a slightly slim neck, but this one seems to be quite thick compared to other 59s. The weight is approximately 4.06 kg, which is an ideal weight for a role model.
The pot date is unknown, but it is probably original, and the pickup uses a humbucker (the type with a sticker on the back) that faithfully reproduces the PAF.

The strong yellow binding that seems to have been made in the 90's, the dark rosewood fingerboard, the overwhelming looks and the powerful sound unique to Les Paul, make you feel like Gibson has reached the point where you can feel the history of the Historic Collection.

Comes with hard case and certificate.

Overwhelmingly cool and great sound! The best Les Paul that even our staff wanted to play the moment they played it! The sound is clear and crisp without being too loud in any band, and the feel of the 90's Historic Collection is the best. The thick, core clean, light crunch, and distorted drive all feel great.

The feel of the neck is completely different from the regular 59, and it is quite thick, similar to the 58. In that case, wouldn't 58 be enough? You may think so, but the sound output is clean and the all-mighty 59 sound, so it's definitely different. The other reason why only 59 is so expensive is because it's cool, and the craftsmen spare no effort to make it.

The price of Les Paul is going up every year. This 59 heathered grain is rare, so if you fall in love with it at first sight, you might want to get it without hesitation.
