LesPaul Deluxe was released in 1969 as a successor to LesPaul Standard. The Les Paul Standard in 1969 was equipped with a P-90 pickup. A mini humbucker was selected that matched the counterbore dimensions. Also, at that time, Epiphones were also made in the same factory, but with the end of Epiphone production, there seemed to be an idea to use up the large amount of mini humbuckers that were in stock for Epiphones.
As a result, we were able to obtain a unique sound not found in other LesPaul series. Although the structure of the mini humbucker is just a miniaturized version of a regular humbucker, the sound is quite brilliant. It was compatible with cutting playing techniques and matched the music of the time.
The newly arrived LesPaul70sDeluxe is modeled after the LesPaulDeluxe of the 1970s. Les Pauls from the 1970s are known for being on average heavy. The one that arrived this time weighs 4.54kg, which is a realistic weight balance of the 1970s. In recent years, there has been a strong tendency to prefer lighter instruments, but if you're looking for a more realistic 70s sound, this one is perfect!
