Songs in the Key of Life, pubblicato il 28 Settembre del 1976 da Motown Records, è l'album numero XVIII realizzato dall'artista Americano Stevie Wonde. E' stato il culmine dei suoi album del cosidetto "Periodo classico". L'album è stato registrato presso il Record Plant di Hollywood, Sausalito Music Factory a Sausalito e al The Hit Factory di New York City.  Si tratta di un ambizioso doppio LP contenente quattro canzoni bonus su EP, Songs in the Key of Life è diventato tra gli album della sua carrierai il best-seller più acclamati dalla critica. Nel 2005, è stato classificato numero 56 nella lista della rivista Rolling Stone dei 500 migliori album di tutti i tempi, ed è stato conservato nel Registro Nazionale Recording dalla Library of Congress ( National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress ) , che lo ha definito "culturalmente, storicamente ed esteticamente significativo".
