Victorian pearl crescent moon necklace in 9ct gold
This pretty necklace has been crafted with twenty-two graduated, half seed pearls mounted in the shape of a crescent moon attached to a rolo link chain.
The crescent piece was originally a brooch and has been converted to a necklace with the addition of a modern rolo-link chain.
The Victorians were an extremely sentimental bunch. Moon brooches (known as honeymoon brooches) were often gifted to the bride by the groom on their honeymoon. The crescent moon symbolises change, the change in their life as they unite in marriage!
