2024 is the platinum anniversary year, marking 70 years since the Stratocaster, the world's greatest electric guitar, was born. Created to celebrate this memorable year, the Limited Edition Fat 54 Stratocaster Relic features a 2-piece select ash body with a sparkling high end, sweet midrange, and firm low end. Available in WideFadeTwo-ColorSunburst, AgedWhiteBlonde, AgedBlack, and Super-FadedAgedSurfGreen colors with Relic lacquer finish. Featuring slightly oxidized ClosetClassic hardware for a well-worn look.
The one-piece quartersawn maple neck is designed based on the Stratocaster neck made in July 1954, and has a special 70th Anniversary Soft "V" shape. Equipped with 21 narrow-tall 6105 frets and a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard with a 1.625-inch bone nut that is slightly narrower than normal. Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Fat'50sStrat pickups with Fat'50sStrat wiring and 5-way switching deliver crisp high end and balanced midrange.
Other premium features include a 1-ply white pickguard, 1954-style ABS white pickup covers and control knobs, a CustomShop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, a disc string tree, and a special 70th Anniversary Stratocaster neck plate. The included embroidered deluxe hard shell case includes commemorative items unique to Stratocaster models, such as straps and official products.
