So, if you have a 2005 to 2011 BMW 3 series E92 (coupe) or E93 (convertible WITHOUT the BMW i-drive system and screen, the radio is okay, but it is limited and you must use your phone as there is no navigation… well I have just the ticket!!

I’m selling a brand new Carplay, Android Auto Double Din for BMW E90/E91/E92/E93 (2005-2011) 7 Inch Touch Screen car stereo with Sat Nav, RDS and Bluetooth. I’ve taken it out of the box for photos only. It was intended to go into my 2008 E92, however I sold the car and purchased a 2012 E93. Having said that the 2012 BMW navigation is pants, so I will be buying a new unit that is compatible with the i-drive and screen.

Back to my sale, the unit is brand-new, and has USB/SD: for updates, DVD, connects to your iPhone/iPod/Android phone. Additionally, the hands-free Bluetooth synchronises mobile phone contacts and plays music via Bluetooth. The FM and RDS Radio admits FM Stereo (87.5-108.0 MHz) with a selection of  stations. RDS can automatically broadcast emergency messages. Hold the screen for three seconds to pre-set your favourite radio stations. The best thing is you can effectively use google maps (or the apple thing, whatever that is called), which makes travel so much easier and safer. You can install apps on this system (I'm not entirely sure why, but hey, each to their own).

I purchased a separate (optional) rear-view camera and this is included in the sale. When properly connected, the car player automatically shows the rear view image when the reverse gear is engaged.

This system allows you to extend the features of your vehicle for example, optional extras include OBD2 that links to the system (providing additional systems data directly to the screen), DAB+,TV, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system). There is also connection to an external DVR. There is also a Steering wheel control option (canbus) which works with the steering wheel original control.

As stated above I opened the box to take actual photos of the unit, the camera, GPS antenna and cabling. I've put some additional photo from the net to indicate features, more importantly for a buyer to make sure the centre console looks the same as the before/after photo. It seems a fairly straight forward installation. I'm reasonable technical and would definitely install my self. You can save yourself the installation costs as this is an easy DIY install. There are lots of DIYers on YouTube and I have attached a link of a typical installation, https://youtu.be/4HJQ2L9-glw?feature=shared. This unit retails for around £175 to £200 on Amazon without the rear-view camera. I've put in a low reserve so you should be able to grab yourself a bargain.
