2nd COMBAT ENGINEER BATTALION IN HAWAII DURING WWII

On 4 November 1941, 2nd Engineer Battalion was relocated to Marine Barracks, Navy Yard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Upon Arrival, Headquarters and Service Company and Company A were assigned to Construct Camp Caitlin, Oahu.

This is a negative from a portfolio of 190 negatives from The Hawaiian Islands the month before the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  The 2nd Engineer Battalion arrived on Hawaii one month before the bombing and these pictures were taking in the 30 days prior to the bombing.
