Meanwhile, Boris Moncel, of Blackmane Design, worked on terrifying original pieces for this landmark release, studying the reference points of creatures and locations from a nearly 30-year-old game. Disc 1 features the original 1996 soundtrack, by Koichi Hiroki, Makoto Tomozawa and Masami Ueda, with assistance from one Ludwig van Beethoven. The 45 tracks were painstakingly edited for length, titles confirmed (and in some cases officially newly designated, e.g. "Murder of Crows") and mastered especially for vinyl. Discs 2 and 3 are a special treat, as they are a new format for Resident Evil Soundtrack Remix (originally released in Japan in 1996 as Bio Hazard Sound Track Remix). Makoto Tomozawa's 34-track album features re-arranged versions of the game's music, interspersed with snippets of dialogue and sound effects to help fans relive the survival horror experience. This standard edition features traditional black discs, while the packaging consists of an outer sleeve with Cerberus cover and obi band, and three inner sleeves.
