Ibanez AR-300 Artist Series

Description

The AR-300 was used by famous artists in the 1980s and was extremely popular.

The main feature of this unit is the variety of tones created by the tri-sound switch.
This switch allows each of the two pickups to be switched between coil tap and parallel, giving you a rich variety of sounds.
In addition, the beauty of the exterior is one of the reasons for its popularity; the body top is flame maple, the fingerboard is ebony, and each hardware is made of original parts by Ibanez. It is full of luxury.

The condition is that there are about 80% of the frets left, the neck is currently fine, and the truss rod moves normally.
Regarding the electrical equipment, the toggle switch works well, but each POT makes noise, and the two tri-sound switches make noise when switching.

The appearance is particularly damaged, with the coating on the binding cracking and peeling, and the binding material itself having many cracks and chips. I think it will peel off if it gets caught on clothes etc.
In addition, there are discoloration of the paint film, dents, and scratches here and there.
The hardware is gold parts, but due to deterioration over time, the plating may peel off or become dull.

It is good to put it into practical use by replacing parts and repairing it, and it is also valuable as a collection.
