Very rare Clements 600si transmission line speakers - Vintage Canadian High-End Floorstanding Loudspeakers.

I understand these speakers originally retailed for around 1300 Canadian dollars.

They are over 30 years old, but still sound brilliant. Their previous - from new - owner replaced them around 10 years ago with a pair of German made Duevel Bella Luna speakers (costing several thousands of pounds) to further compliment his high-end audio system.

In my opinion - to my ears - the Clements are the most open and natural-sounding speakers I've ever heard. The only reason I am selling them is that I have to significantly downsize my hifi system.

The speakers are bi-wireable with robust binding posts on the rear which also accept banana plugs.
As shown in the photos, one of the binding posts has been soldered into position by their previous owner.

These speakers are very well made, solidly constructed and in overall great condition, showing minimal wear considering their age. Very small areas of edge damage to the veneer can be seen in the photos.

They are large and heavy, measuring 9.5 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep and 31.5 inches high.
Each speaker weighs 20kg (3st 2lb).

Each speaker is fitted with x4 (optional/removable) carpet spikes.

2-way with a 6.5 inch poly woofer with rubber surrounds and a 1 inch soft-dome tweeter.

I have an email from Phil Clements who not only designed these speakers but also kindly replied to my enquiry as to how best to look after these audiophile speakers. I'll happily share his thoughts and comments with the buyer on completion.

An excerpt from a 2017 review of Clements speakers:
"I’m not going to argue that Phil Clements has repealed the laws of physics. But he has tenaciously experimented with ways of channeling pressure within a speaker enclosure to produce unusually extended bass, confounding the expectations of expert listeners. His elaborately ducted cabinet designs are to conventional speaker ports what the human digestive tract is to a pea-shooter. His method of pressurizing and accelerating low-frequency backwaves involves a multichambered structure with painstakingly calculated ratios between the bass driver and cabinet segments."
