This is a very rare set made by "Joty" back in the 50's and one of the most sought after sets by collectors. They have the "sailor valentine" design of shells on the pieces with pink iridescent tailfins with gold accents. The 8.5” mermaid has been nicely repaired some time ago as pictured. The 3 mermaid babies are anywhere from 5”-5.5” long and the 3 pink/gold bubbles range from 1”-2.5” round. Total of 6 pieces: 3 mermaids and 3 bubbles.

The Joty sets can be identified by the shell/bead/rhinestone design as well as the trademark is the flower that was always put on the back of the mirror that one of the babies is holding (this one is no longer there). The Joty signature is also on the back of the large mermaid. Some of the tiny shells have chips on them and a few beads are missing so please view images carefully to help determine condition and determine if this set is perfect for you!
