A clean, tight firm book in Good condition in multicolor illustrated soft wraps, 8 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 90 thick, supple pages of splendid biography on one of the iconic pitchers in Major League history.

Mark Fidrych (1954-2009) was raised in Massachusetts, played baseball, and was brought up to the Major Leagues by the Detroit Tigers.  He was an instant hit - he talked to the Baseball, groomed the mound, strutted around the mound, won baseball games, pitched in the All-Star Game.

Then he tore up his knee, had that repaired, came back to win again, then suffered an undiagnosed Rotator Cuff injury which ended his baseball career.  Mark returned to Massachusetts, bought a truck and became blue-collar again.  He died in an industrial accident in 2009.  Here is his story.
