A clean, tight firm book in Good - Very Good condition in pale yellow/black-lettered hard boards, 9 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 238 thick, supple pages of splendid history of a leading radio show of the first half of the 20th Century.  Humor in a small-town, rural-America humor of that era.  

The Foreword is from Jean Shepherd - he's the author of a number of similar humor pieces - most well known is A Christmas Story, where the kid wants a Red Ryder BB Gun - and could get his eye shut out.  Great Humor here.
