This is a lovely example of a Commodore 128 and 1571 floppy disk drive. It's in stock form, with nothing restored or upgraded. It's been comprehensively tested and is in full working order.

North American / NTSC Commodore 128
- Great example of a C128 and 1572 double-sided floppy drive
- The C128 is the best C64! :)
- Non-modified, clean machine - excellent condition for a 39 year old machine - no yellowing, no retr0brighting done as far as I'm aware
- The only work I've done is clean the keyboard. When I did this I noticed that the return key has a broken tab on the black keyboard frame. It doesn't affect the feel or use of the key
- All diagnostics passed OK - see attached photo, I let this run for an hour or so for through about a dozen iterations
- The SID sounds great!
- The case in great condition, clean and no cracks. There are a couple of minor scratches and marks (see photos), but very good overall
- The 1571 is also a clean, working example. There's a little yellowing on the front as you can see on the photos. The 1571 is an upgraded drive compared to the classic 1541, and can read/write both sides of the disk without removing it. It's also a lot quieter than the 1541, and the styling is an ideal match for the C128 - which was what Commodore intended back in 1985
- C128 serial number: CA1211565
- Manufacture date: 9/85
- 1571 serial number: JAI 014065

Included:
- Commodore 128 computer
- Commodore 1571 double-sided floppy disk drive
- Official 117V power supply for the Commodore 128, P/N: 310416-01. This is the "heavy one", which seems pretty reliable - but it is unmodified and almost 40 years old.
- (The 1571 has an integrated power supply)
- Serial cable to connect the 128 and 1571
- A copy of Paradroid on floppy to get your gaming started (though you'll need an Atari-style 9-pin joystick to play)

You'll need:
- A way to connect this to an old-school monitor or TV (I've tested the RF out and it works best on channel 4 - though by todays standards it's pretty rough). It's better to try and connect to a modern TV or monitor and I'm happy to help you with this. I recommend the cables from Retro Computer Shack as they are great quality, other quality cable are available
- Games, on floppy or cartridges, if you're a gamer...
- A joystick for the games

Other notes:
- The C128 and 1571 will be packaged well. I'll put an old floppy in the drive and close the mechanism for shipping.
- FREE SHIPPING in the continental USA. Happy to ship globally with eBay Global Shipping.

While I was a ZX Spectrum guy growing up, I've love the C64 and 128s I own. I'm happy to answer any questions during the auction. I now have a nice PAL C128D so it’s time for this one to find another good home. Good luck bidding!
