Since around the 19th century in Sweden, it has been customary for wealthy women to embroidery tablecloths and pillowcases, as a courtesy for wealthy women, and as a symbol of love and kindness for their families. Valuable works are collected and preserved by the Swedish National Handicraft Association, which was established to protect these traditions and handicraft culture.
This book contains motifs that Inga Palmgren, a popular designer known for her embroidery and textiles of people and buildings, has released every year for 44 years since 1957 at the request of the Swedish National Handicraft Association, as well as 3 new designs from 2007 onwards. With the addition of dots, we have collected a collection of fairy-tale-like Christmas landscapes that are gently drawn especially in red. This is a complete collection of Christmas red thread embroidery.

This book is an expanded edition that includes the contents of the 1984 Swedish Cross-Stitch Christmas Calendar, published by Bunka Publishing, and the 2009 Swedish Cross-Stitch Christmas Tapestry, published by Colorfield Publications. However, the 44 embroidery pieces were embroidered in Sweden, and some of the designs are different from the original designs.
