Introducing GibsonRDArtistBass.

The RD series was introduced in 1977 with the passive circuit RD Standard Bass, and the Standard was discontinued in 1979 and the Artist in 1982, so it was only available for a short period of time.
This model is an RDArtistBass with an active circuit installed and a unique look and electronics.

The material composition is a combination of a maple body, a maple neck jointed with a set neck, and an ebony fingerboard, and it has a distinctive weight of approximately 5.26 kg.
The electronics include a humbucking pickup mounted, basic controls such as 2 volumes, 2 band equalizer, 3-way pickup selector, and a 3-way mode switch for neutral, bright, expansion, and compression. The sound is created by the Moog circuit, which is the core of this model. This is the best part.

As for the changes that can be seen at present, we have confirmed that the top coat of paint, back panel change, strap pin change, bridge change, and some screw changes.
The serial number is unclear and cannot be determined, but the date of 1977 can be seen on the volume pot, and together with the control layout, it is assumed that it was produced between 1977 and 1979.

As for other conditions, one screw on the battery panel is broken, there are scratches and dents throughout, and since this is an old instrument, there are some scratches and switch noise on the pot.
There are many parts that have been used and touched, but it seems that it has been used a lot, and it appears that the frets have been adjusted in the past, so the frets themselves are low. However, combined with the stable Hipshot bridge that allows string height adjustment for each string, playability is ensured, and the appropriate values will vary depending on your playing style, but the string height on the 12th fret is approximately 2.5 mm for the 4th string and 2 mm for the 1st string. It can be used at high temperatures.
The truss rod has approximately 14 turns left to be tightened at the time of display at our store.

The included case is the original hard case, but there are signs that the clasp has been removed and that the handle and clasp have been added.
In addition to the original hard case, we also have a hard case that can be used normally.

Please consider it.

We will inspect and adjust any base you purchase from our store free of charge.
