This instrument is a wide body specification of the orthodox orchestra model, OMG Grand Quilted Sapele.

The unfamiliar OMGrand size was inspired by a request from Harry Taft, owner of the Denver Folklore Center, a long-established music store founded in 1962, and a long-time friend of Santa Cruz Guitar Company.
The actual size and thickness are almost the same as the OM size, but the bulge at the bottom is between the OM size and the 0000 size, making it an exquisite item that provides a sense of volume while still being comfortable to hold. It has a sense of size.
The sound produced from beautiful Adirondack spruce and the finest quilted sapele locally selected by our staff is truly exquisite. Combined with the body shape, it gives you a feeling of deep bass and roar that is not found in conventional OM size. The glittering texture unique to Santa Cruz also resonates powerfully in the high range from low to high positions.
In terms of decoration, both the rosette and purfling have a cowboy rope pattern inlaid with wood, a subtle diamond square position inlay, and the slotted head has the SCGC logo, which is the hallmark of Santa Cruz. The rope design is simple but has a strong presence. A pickguard is included, and the fair-skinned top and simple decoration give it a very elegant appearance.
