This highly collectible 24mm silver coloured Victorian shilling token was struck circa 1850 to promote SOUTHEE’S PRACTICAL SYSTEM OF BOOKKEEPING which was a set of three books exemplifying the Double- and Single-Entry systems of bookkeeping.


Obverse: H. M. G. M. QUEEN VICTORIA SHILLING around young head of Queen Victoria left.

Reverse: SOUTHEY’S PRACTICAL SYSTEM OF BOOK KEEPING · around a prancing horse left.


Edge: milled.


Condition: High collector’s grade with a pleasing uncleaned antique patina
