Gibson Custom Color Series Les Paul Standard 60s Figured Top Translucent Oxblood #215330300 4.36kg

Description

CustomColorSeries is a selection of classic custom colors from the 1960s and limited edition colors from recent years!
This model uses a plain top with no heather grains to keep the price down, and it's about yen cheaper than the conventional Les Paul Standard!

Among them, this model is a model that reproduces the specifications of the late 1960s, when the neck thickness was finished thinner, and it is characterized by a slim neck shape with high playability and a clear sound with good clarity in the high range.

The set neck structure is the same as a violin or acoustic guitar, and the two-layered body with a maple top and mahogany back is the secret to the deep and flavorful tone unique to Les Pauls.

The solid structure eliminates the [weight relief] that has been adopted in recent years, resulting in a firmer sound with a stronger vintage feel.
The clean tone is a clear crystal tone with less muddiness, and is suitable for all genres without causing any distortion even when deeply distorted.

When "P.A.F." appeared in 1957 and LesPaul specifications were established, a gold top coloring was initially adopted, and in 1958 the name was changed to "LesPaul Standard" for the first time and a cherry sunburst color was adopted. became. The 1959 model is especially popular, and is also the most popular custom shop reissue model.
The neck shape uses a thin C shape that was actually scanned from a vintage guitar, and has a finish suitable for "Les Paul Standard 60s".
There are concerns about the effect of the thin neck on the sound, but it seems that surprisingly, the low range is clearer, which helps eliminate the muddiness of the sound.

The pickup is equipped with the newly developed [60s Burstbucker], which is characterized by a sparkling high range and a well-developed sound. It reproduces the pickups of the 1960s, where the number of turns of the coil is stable and has little variation, and the point is that it uses the Alnico V magnet used at that time.
There is a sense of separation of sounds even when playing chords, and although the output itself is not very high, the sound has a wide range.
Board wiring has been abolished, and an orange drop capacitor is used in the tone circuit for hand-wired wiring.
It gives the impression that the sound is more rounded compared to ceramic capacitors, and you can clearly feel that the sound is glossy and thick.

The paint is all lacquered using traditional "nitrocellulose lacquer," so you can feel the changes in the painted surface over time.
