2024 is the platinum anniversary year, marking 70 years since the Stratocaster, the world's greatest electric guitar, was born. The Limited Edition 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster, produced to celebrate this memorable year, has a 2-piece select ash body with offset seams on the lower bout side and 1st string side of the body, and is characterized by a glittering high end, sweet midrange, and firm low end. We offer a gorgeous WideFade2-Color Sunburst lacquer finish with a variety of relic finishes, including TimeCapsule, DeluxeClosetClassic, Reli, JourneymanRelic, HeavyRelic, and SuperHeavyRelic.
The one-piece quartersawn maple neck is designed based on the Stratocaster neck made in July 1954, and has a special 70th Anniversary Soft "V" shape. 7.25 9.5" vintage compound radius fingerboard with 21 medium Vintage 47095 frets and a slightly narrower 1.625" bone nut for a clear, bell-like high end and classic Stratocaster voicing. It features three Custom Shop Hand-Wound '54 Strat pickups, Vintage '54 Strat wiring with wax paper capacitors and 5-way switching.
Other premium features include a 1-ply white pickguard and serialized backplate, 1954-style ABS white pickup cover and control knobs, Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, disc string tree, and special 70th Anniversary Stratocaster neck plate.
