Vintage Meccano Vertical Steam Engine In Excellent Condition, Tested & Fully Working 

A wonderful vintage Meccano vertical steam engine from the 1930s in excellent working condition.

The engine is in original condition with some wear to the paint, but is working perfectly and very smoothly (please see video above).

All original parts including valves are fitted and are working correctly with no sign of leaks to the boiler or other parts.

Engine works strongly in both forward and reverse positions.

Original spirit burner comes with the engine, but this has a hole (see pic). I purchased a new Mamod burner which heats the boiler effectively and this is included in the sale. Original copper funnel for filling is also supplied.

A stained and lacquered hardwood display plinth in English Ash has been made and fitted, allowing you to enjoy the engine at all times whether it is running or not.
