I have here for sale VOLUME VI (only) of THE GENERAL HISTORY OF THE VAST CONTINENT AND ISLANDS OF AMERICA, Commonly call'd THE WEST INDIES, from THE FIRST DISCOVERY thereof: With the Best Accounts the Pimple could give of their ANTIQUITIES. Collected from the Original RELATIONS sent to the Kings of SPAIN. By ANTONIO DE HERRERA, translated into English by CAPTAIN JOHN STEVENS. This volume is nicely illustrated with a fold out engraved frontispiece of THE PEOPLE OF FLORIDA, and engraved chapter headers, and engraved dropped initials. Red and black title lettering. It has the index for all the volumes bound at the back of the volume.

This volume runs from De Cad IV, Book X, through to De Cad V Book X. and includes : The Revolt of Venezuela and Santa Maria, The Notorious Villain, Francis de Carvajal, Chichimeca Indians discovered and the wars with them, Preaching in Florida, Granada - what was happening there, Wicked Judges arrive in Peru, Pizarro prepares to raise a rebellion, Sailors left on a desert island and the miseries that befell them, Zepeda a wicked judge.

Contemporarily quarter bound in leather over marbled  boards.Spine has 5 raised bands. Plain endpapers. Frontispiece is creased. Small tear to the top edge of the title page. This book is in very good condition, pages are generally clean and bright, it is tightly bound with no loose or missing pages [2],408pp, plus index, and publishers list [2]pp. 21cm x 13cm.

Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped. 

To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account. You can then request a combined postage cost and I will combine the items into the fewest parcels as possible - saving you money :)
