1991 Epiphone Casino Cherry Made in Japan Terada Factory, MIJ, Pre-Elitist, Import, All Original 

Presented here is an all original 1991 Epiphone Casino, expertly crafted in Japan and finished in a rare Cherry stain that's notoriously difficult to come by. It boasts an elegant contrast with its rich, chocolate-brown Indian rosewood fretboard.

These Terada Factory-produced Casinos, originally intended solely for the Japanese market, have earned a stellar reputation for being among the finest Casino reissues ever made, often surpassing their contemporary counterparts. This specimen is no exception, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that rivals, if not exceeds, its American-made counterparts.

While we've encountered our fair share of Japanese-made Casinos at IBG, this particular instrument holds a special place in our hearts, having been cherished as part of our personal collection. Its gracefully aged “watermelon” Cherry finish beautifully accentuates the intricate wood grain, complemented by a subtly weathered binding that perfectly captures the essence of a mid-60s Casino.

In terms of condition, this Casino is remarkably well-preserved, reflecting the care and attention it has received over the years. With only minor surface cosmetic blemishes, it stands as one of the cleanest examples available, devoid of any structural issues or repairs. The neck and fretboard are equally immaculate, offering a smooth playing experience, with all 22 frets showing minimal signs of wear.

The original hardware, now gently patinated with age, adds to the instrument's vintage allure, while the stock electronics operate flawlessly. Finally, the authentic P90 pickups deliver the iconic Casino tone, characterised by its distinctive warmth and bite, ensuring that this guitar provides an unparalleled playing experience.
