Fantastic Jazz era (1922 - 23) "S.S. Stewart" of Philadelphia, PA, 4 string banjo autographed by the musicians, flapper girls and singers from a Jazz club in the Yosemite National Park area circa 1922 and 1923.  The art work - from the Flapper girl to Krazy Kat and the naked diver are well executed - by someone(s) who was presumably an artist.  This is very early Yosemite history, some of the women who signed the back inside drum I have been able to track down (thanks to Laurel Cottage Genealogy in the Yosemite area of CA).  The names: Florence Gallison, Gilda Smith and Muade Fields that appear on the back of the banjo also appear on the back of the photo of the three of them on horseback in Yosemite.  The banjo is in good condition with no cracks or breaks in the head or neck, but it is being sold as is and is not being sold as a instrument to play music with but is to be considered by those that appreciate Yosemite's history, early Jazz era instruments as well as instruments as art - in and of itself.  This banjo definitely has a story to tell.  Shipping insurance costs to be incurred by the buyer.
