Martin OM-18V 2012

Description

MartinOM-18V 2012

Martin OM-18V Made in 2012.
The size and shape of the body is similar to the Triple O, but the scale is slightly longer, making it similar in scale to the Dreadnought.
It is often said that the Triple O is suitable for fingerpicking and the Dreadnought is suitable for strokes with a pick, but the OM series is somewhere in between.
The same goes for the Dreadnought series, but model number 18 guitars use mahogany for the back and sides.
The top is made of spruce, but the back and sides are not rosewood, giving this model a unique sound.
In addition, the model that has arrived this time is a model that was lineuped in a series that existed in the past called the Vintage Series.

Features include tortoiseshell pattern binding and long saddle.
All of these are characteristics of old Martins.

The 18 was originally created as a low-priced model, but now it has become established as a Martin sound.
As expected, mahogany is used for the sides and back, so the tone is clearly different from the rosewood model, so this model is often used when a slightly different Martin sound is required.
