“Treasures of the World” is a beautiful new collector series of locket coins celebrating an abundance of natural riches found across the globe.  To showcase a selection of the Earth’s most cherished gems, five individual 1oz coins will feature in the series, which will be released across five years.

 

The first release in this stunning annual program features loose garnet encased in a transparent locket.  Garnets are fascinating gemstones.  Found in certain parts of Europe, they are classically red in color and are believed to symbolize passion, fidelity, loyalty, faith, and truth.

INNOVATIVE LOCKET COIN FEATURING LOOSE GARNETS - The coin incorporates a transparent circular locket containing loose red garnets.

UNIQUE REVERSE DESIGN - The locket is surrounded with a reverse design representing a European Alpine landscape, featuring a chalet and Milk Vetch leaves.  The reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the inscriptions TREASURES OF THE WORLD and GARNET.

 

Australian Legal Tender - Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and monetary denomination on the obverse.
