If you do not see these photos, I will guarantee that their guitar has not been actually tested. The majority of PS3 guitars no longer work due to bad transistors that are used for syncing/pairing to your PS3.

Four flashing lights on a controller means that the controller is trying to pair (assume bad transistor if only picture available is 4 flashing lights).
