Immediately after remixing Bob Marley for Island / Tuff Gong / Axiom for a "new" dub electronic release (Sept. 26, 1997) and performing a similar task on Miles Davis for Sony / Columbia for a dub-oriented instrumental release (Winter '98), Laswell went into his new Orange, NJ studio to produce Sacred System : Chapter Two, his second release for ROIR.
With the sounds of Marley and Miles still ringing in his ears, he brought jazz cornetist Graham Haynes, master guitarist Nicky Skopelitis, ace world percussionist Bill Buchen and Jamaican drumming legend Style Scott into the studio to create a new Laswell World Sound— a mixture of Arabic, Indian and Bitches Brew jazz.

Back in the 1980s and 1990s, my ex-boyfriend ran a very cool independent record store and he was always giving me promo items – records, cds, tapes, stickers, t-shirts. This cd was a 1997 promo from RIOR Records, and a small hole has been punched into the back of the jewel case by the record company.
Compact disc is in great shape with no damage or scratches. The jewel case has light scratches, and a small punch hole through back of jewel case and UPC/back paper insert (that does not affect play).
