Rare, antique ewer by Franz Anton Mehlem. Textile technique, (where fabric is placed on ceramic which burns off during the firing process, leaving a tactile texture) with hand painted Blossom & Bird pattern, gilded accents and handle c1900.
Very good condition, with minimum signs of wear, i.e. some rubbing to the gilt handle.
