This decorative antique wooden mechanical Milliner's hat stretcher which dates from c1900 sits on it's wooden base, is in perfectly working order and has an amazing patina, so looks fantastic on display.

The stretcher has a large metal handle which turns to open and close the wooden hat section to adjust the size.

The hat stretcher was used to stretch and shape hats to the correct size.

Size from 49 to 67 can be read on a cardboard plate attached to the base.

A must for every hat maker or lover of old crafts.
