This is a Vintage 1960s Ludwig kit in Blue Sparkle in Ringo sizes. 3-ply Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany.

It is, effectively, a Super Classic. However, given the bass drum has a central rack tom mount I will not advertise it as such. The kit has the precise dimensions, wood and wrap as the Super Classic...as well as the awesome sound.

When I bought it, I was advised that it had belonged to the legendary record producer, Chris Tsangarides. 

The bearing edges have been refurbished by the great Gary Noonan and are, consequently, perfect.

The kit is in good overall condition. The floor tom had a split in the wrap, which has been repaired and stabilised by Gary Noonan (see photo). It has no effect on the sound and cannot be seen when the kit is set up for a gig.

The original tension rods for the bass drum are included (see photo). I changed them over as they tend to get caught on a drum case and detune the drum.

Internal dampers are missing.

Floor and rack tom batter heads are Remo Pinstripe. Resonant heads are Remo Ambassador. Bass drum heads are Evans. They are gig used but have life in them.
