This camera was overhauled in December 2023 by Kerry at Video Electronics in Massachusetts, USA - well known as the premier VX repairer - at a cost of just under $500. A receipt for this work will be included in the sale.
This camcorder is fully tested and working. It has been well used and has some strictly cosmetic battle scars to show for it - please refer to the included photos. There are some specs of dust in the lens optics which I've found to be extremely common in VX1000s, having owned multiple, but often not disclosed by sellers - they do not affect image quality. There is also some dust/debris in the viewfinder and some marks/dead pixels that are mostly visible on black screen (see last photo) - these do not show in recorded footage.
Included is a lens hood and cap, original remote, battery charger and 2x Duracell batteries - the best currently available batteries available for the VX in my opinion, after much trial and error.
