The Gibson Hummingbird was released as a high-end model among Gibson guitars, and has a distinctive look that is hard to mistake. As one of the most outstanding acoustic guitars ever made, it has continued to be loved by players all over the world since its introduction in 1960.
Painting with nitrocellulose lacquer, a paint that cures slowly and soaks in slowly, the use of a domed top with an arched body surface rather than a completely flat one, glue adhesive at the neck joint, etc. The traditional manufacturing method is still inherited today.
This product is part of the Modern Collection, which is based on the concept of tradition and innovation, and is a series that combines traditional and modern manufacturing methods.
The body shape is square shoulders. We use AAA grade Sitka spruce, mainly from Alaska, and for the back and sides we use pure genuine genuine mahogany, mainly from Guatemalan in Central and South America. The neck is also made of genuine mahogany, and the fingerboard and bridge are made of East Indian rosewood.
The modern Gibson logo that shines on the head is decorated with mother-of-pearl, and the pegs are mounted with Grover pecs, which have a reputation for durability and tuning accuracy, and TUSQ nuts designed to efficiently transmit string vibrations to the body. It has a good blend of modern elements such as a comfortable round neck.
The fingerboard binding, mother-of-pearl crown inlay, and double parallelogram inlay mark the Hummingbird as a top Gibson model.
Another great feature is that L.R.Baggs Element VTC, a pickup with adjustable volume and tone control, is installed from the factory.
The color uses Gibson's traditional vintage sunburst finish. It has a dark color gradation from the center of the body to the rim, and each strand is hand-sprayed, making each one unique!
