Gibson NOS Mastertone Ebony Banjo Fingerboards with RB-3 “Leaves and Bows” inlay pattern. These 5 fingerboards come from the Maudie Moore Estate in Kalamazoo. Maudie Moore was the Engraver and Inlay Artist at Gibson starting in 1969 and continued to work for them even after they moved to Nashville in the late ‘80’s. The fingerboards are nice dark ebony with no cracks. They are slotted and have the inlay cavities cut but there is no inlay. Also, on the back of 3 of the fingerboards it’s marked “Nashville Sample”, but not sure what this is referring to. Measures 1 3/32” at the nut, 1 27/32 at last fret and is 3/16” thick. There is no binding or frets. Scale length is 26 3/8”.
