Gibson DOVE

Description

Top spruce, side back maple, fingerboard bridge ebony, neck maple, Grover gold peg change, original tortoiseshell pickguard, double X bracing, double parallelogram position inlay,

DOVE from the 1970s double X bracing period! The top is spruce, the sides and back are maple, and the fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony. The serial number indicates that it was produced between 1973 and 1975, and the pegs have been replaced with Grover gold ones. Also, the pickguard is original, but has become deformed, lifted, and cracked due to age. There are severe scratches between the sound hole, pickguard and bridge. The neck has peeling of the paint due to playing, and shows signs of wear consistent with its age. There is a hole left for a strap pin on the neck heel, and a strap pin is attached to the side. It is equipped with a stick-on pickup, but no sound is produced. The nut width is approximately 42mm, and it has a slightly thin 3-piece neck that is close to the thickness of the early 60's. The angle was appropriate and the truss rod had plenty of room to move. Although the frets are slightly worn out, they can still be used. Although there is a small amount of saddle left, the string height has been adjusted to be approximately 2 mm on the 12th fret 6th string side and 1.8mm on the 1st string side for easy pressing. Compared to the 60's tune-o-matic period, it's much more tenacious! Attractive sparkling high-pitched sounds befitting a high-end model! It's well balanced and the finger picking sounds beautiful! Please take this opportunity! Comes with hard case.
