One (1) antique to vintage Japanese Traveling Shrine (Zushi). Wooden shrine containing an intricately carved wooden figure of a Buddhist monk sitting on a gold gilt log. Carved figure looks much older than the shrine, probably Edo Period. Shrine is late Meiji to Taisho Period 1900-1920's. Good
condition- no damage or missing pieces. Shrine measures 6 1/8 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches wide and 3 5/8 inches thick. Monk figure measures 4 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches wide. See
my many other Japanese altar figures and Japanese and Chinese antiques.
