Welcome to my listing for an IPZ PO-109-1A f1.2/5cm Projection Lens with M42 Mounting Collar for Helicoid, serial number 9120508.

Overview: A very fast all metal bodied 16mm projection lens produced by IPZ (Izyum Instrument Making Plant) of Ukraine. They are of a 6 element optical design and are certainly notable for the swirling bokeh produced, particularly when focused just short of infinity. Supplied with original caps, M42 mounting collar to fit to any focusing helicoid, original box and paperwork. The lens will cover APSC size sensor but not full 35mm.

Overall Condition: Very good with no obvious marks as you can see in the photos.

Optical Condition: Again very good with a little internal dust that you would expect for a lens of this age.

Mechanical Operation: The lens itself has no mechanical elements and of course, no aperture. The mounting collar is adjustable to set infinity when mounted on your helicoid.

Real World Use: I do love the look of this lens, not particularity sharp but the swirly vintage bokeh more than makes up for it in my opinion!I The focusing mount will take you from infinity up to 8cm at its closest point, well into macro territory. All in all a very interesting and versatile optic producing images unlike any other lens I have used!
