 The backs of the flange nuts are non-serrated and non biting, so they will not cut in to your metal or plastic side clutch cover and remove material each time they are used.

Excellent width on the integral flange washer spreads an even load while tightening.

Many cheaper alternatives have a serrated back and cause damage when tightening.
