Fabulous pair of vintage reclaimed original Art Deco torch wall lights (torchieres) with original frosted flame glass shades, circa 1930s- 40s. Heavy cast brass torches with gilt finish and delicate flame glass shades. Old braided wire still connects the bulb holders with old plastic connectors on the end, brass holders marked EFESCO - MADE IN ENGLAND. Both in excellent condition for their age but one of the glass shades is quite badly damaged around the rim, still holds securely if positioned correctly, I have made a thick cardboard collar which secures it firmly, these wall lights are angled so the shades have to be secure, the other shade also has minor nibbles around the rim, pls study images, one shade screw has been replaced, see pic 9, all others are original. These break down into four parts so rewiring is very easy. Superb vintage quality with lovely patina. Will be overpacked for delivery, each weighs just over 1.3kg with shade.
