This listing is for a pre-owned vintage ceramic tiki mug that was manufactured by the glassware company Libbey.

It is shaped like an Easter Island Moai with large half circle eyes

The mug measures approximately 7" tall and holds 20 oz of liquid.

It was most likely manufactured and sold strictly as a food service piece for bars and restaurants and not directly to the public.

The mug has a unique brown glaze with a hue or tint of bluish or greenish accents. It's possible that the mug was fired twice at two different temperatures to achieve this effect.

While I'm unsure of the exact date that this mug was available , from my research it seems it's probably from the 1970s or early 1980s. But that is just an educated guess.

Cosmetically the mug is in very good used condition with just moderate signs of wear and age. But there are no major defects or damage of note such as large cracks or chips.

There are a few small rough spots on the exterior finish of the glaze. But most likely those are original manufacturing defects.

Overall the mugs still displays very well.

I've been the owner of this mug for approximately 15 years. In that time it's only ever been displayed and never actually used to drink out of.

It's also never been washed in a dishwasher, just hand rinsed.

Stored in a climate controlled smoke-free home and away from any direct sunlight to prevent fading.
