Not your Avg Bear that's for sure is this 5 star chronometer time keeper Longines. This is a scarce model case reference 1001/506. The back is stainless steel and the front has a brushed gold color bezel and ultra super clean. There are some initials engraved on the back of this steel Longines screw in back and can be safely removed once purchased at no extra cost. The crystal is original and excellent as well as the original dial and hands as they have never been altered or redone, factory original. From lug this Longines case is 42mm long and wide less the crown it is 40mm so it is a nice size piece from the Longines factories in Switzerland. This piece was produced in the year 1973. The top crown when turned changes the day wheel at the 12 position and as this piece has been properly cleaned oiled and greased there is no hesitation on this wheel turning properly. The bottom crown when pushed in changes the date wheel so this is a quick set model and not common at that as mentioned prior. This is a fully serviced movement and it is a caliber 506 with 21 clean and inspected jewels. A new main spring added and it does indeed keep chronometre time. Notice please the buckle is new old stock and signed Longines. The width of this new leather band is 19mm in width. As clean as can be and truly not a common 5 star admiral timepiece form Longines :-)
