D-18Authentic1937 made in 2006, reproducing the specifications of 1937
This is an early example of the Authentic series when it was announced, and the sound has become clearer over time.
The top is Adirondack spruce.
It's a wide-grain material typical of the 18 style, and has a wonderful texture.
S B is mahogany.
Made of beautiful straight-grained mahogany, it has a bright and clear sound character that is loved by many people.
The head plate is made of Brazilian rosewood and reproduces the shape of the 1930s.
The decal logo also has an atmosphere close to that time, and just looking at this head has a very nice finish.
The tuner is made by Goto and has a Martin stamp and is in good working order.
The fingerboard and bridge are ebony.
The position mark is an avalon dot that gradually becomes smaller.
The bridge also reproduces the shape of the 1930s, and has a long saddle.
Style 18 rosette with painted tortoiseshell pickguard.
The chamfering, thickness, color, and pattern of this pickguard are very nice, and I think many people were fascinated by its cool look, which was different from the regular model.
The body binding is a tote chair.
1937 style thick V-shaped neck.
I think there is a sound that can only be produced with this neck, and it is a particularly popular vintage Martin neck shape.
There are some dents on the top and scratches on the back, but overall it is in good condition.
Just by playing the 6th string open, the thick and deep sound will be amazing!
The wide neck and forward shift scallop X bracing era has a thick, deep sound that can only be produced.
It has all the elements of the sound you want from a dreadnought, and the core, glossy, and extended tone when played in the high position makes it suitable for Martin's pinnacle model, and I think it's a very complete model. Masu.
When it was new, some people may have found the sound to be stiff, but over time it has developed into a wonderful guitar that plays stress-free.
