D'Angelico Deluxe Series Deluxe Atlantic, Desert Gold
Description
The DeluxeAtlantic™ features the original 13.25-inch wide single cutaway shape with two escutcheon humbucker pickups, giving it a warm vintage tone.
The pickguard has an original shape reminiscent of D'Angelico, and has a design reminiscent of part of the F-hole, and is colored to match the body color.
The top of the body (7 ply), headstock and neck (3 ply) are decorated with binding, and the design combined with the presence of mother of pearl avalon split block position markers gives a chic and gorgeous impression.
Body material is alder.
Wood materials such as ebony fingerboard are used for the 3-piece neck of maple and walnut.
It uses a 24.75-inch scale, and the neck has a 3-piece structure with walnut sandwiched between maple pieces to resist warping and twisting.
In addition, the neck joint has a unique heel-less design, which allows the neck to reach the back of the body (to the point where it covers the entire front pickup) like a through-neck, increasing the bonding area and providing both playability and strength at high frets. It has a set-through neck joint.
Additionally, it features a dual-action truss rod that adjusts at the head.
The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum and has a bold design inspired by the New York City skyscrapers that were lined with Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) that was popular in New York around 1930.
The pickup is equipped with two metal covered USA Seymour Duncan SethLover A4 humbuckers.
The controls are a 2-volume, 2-tone, 3-way pickup selector layout, with each pickup tone also serving as a coil split push-pull switch, for a total of 8 coil combinations.
The hardware is gold or nickel depending on the body color, and features Grover's Super Rotomatic locking machine head, Tune-O-Matic & Stop Bar tailpiece, which provides stable tuning.
The color is desert gold.
A hard case is included.
