Standing lady wearing orange dress with green collar and fur ermine trim, fur ermine muff, orange hat and green boots, appears as though a figurine of a fashionably dressed lady, but actually opens at her hips for access to the hollow interior which would have contained a silk ribbon powder puff.

This is in excellent Antique condition – No Chips or Cracks – This is and old and used item so will have signs of age and use – so please have a good look at the photos

In my opinion my starting price for this auction is less than half what this is worth, if you read below I have tried to explain why this might be, please read on.

All of the following prices are estimated I have made from one known sold price – please read below.

This is a Rare item – I can only find two more examples – one of which was sold at auction 2009 and was estimate at £250 to £350 – I was unable to find the sold price, which would have had 28% + VAT to add to whatever the hammer price would have been – so if it had made between the estimates £300 it would have cost the buyer around £460 and then the buyer who would most probably have been a dealer would want a profit, typically 32% bringing it to a sale price of around £610 and they would probably have advertised it for around £675.

The other example still had its original powder and puff, this one sold for $700 - this can be found at THERIAULT’S Lot 245 Auction of THE VANITY FAIR - STRONG MUSEUM HALF DOLLS – 12^th Jan 2014 – after auction house charges and taxes around £870 and again, the buyer would want a profit of about 32% = £1200.00

Now as I said these are just my opinion and very much estimates (apart from the sold hammer price of the second one which is listed as $700)
