It is a high-end model of the New York Epiphone archtop, along with the DELUXE and Emperor archtop guitars that began production in 1931.
17-inch body with spruce top, maple sides and back, long scale, Jacaranda fingerboard, and maple neck.
The body back center seam has peeled off and has been repaired, and there is a possibility of over lacquer or refinishing.
It appears that the entire body has been overlacquered.
The neck appears to have been reset, and there are cracks in the paint on the 1st and 6th string sides of the fingerboard binding at the base of the neck.
Bridge replaced, peg buttons slightly deteriorated.
It has a refret, so playability is good.
