quality Thorens TD203 turntable (current RRP $1299) with TP82 Uni-pivot tonearm
and TAS257 MM phono cartridge in ‘as new’ condition. Thorens are a long
standing German precision turntable manufacturer – this unit has not been used
and was opened by the dealer for display and then carefully re-packed with all
accessories including power supply, phono cartridge, stylus gauge and user
manual, etc. in the original shipping
box.
The TD 203 is a high
quality out of the box turntable solution from Thorens and comes fully
assembled and factory-set for operation - the unit takes no more than five minutes
from opening the box to playing music from a vinyl record. The TD 203 leaves audiophiles
room to fine-tune and adjust the performance to their personal preferences –
the tonearm, for example, offers facilities to adjust azimuth and overhang,
while the pick-up cartridge can be easily changed in a matter of minutes. The
turntable includes a specially designed transparent Perspex dust cover.
The on board TP82
tonearm is a uni-pivot design, while the TP82’s main bearing uses a carbide
tip resting within an intricate arrangement of five very small ball bearings.
The tonearm is constructed from rolled/damped aluminium, includes delicate anti-skating
compensation and comes pre-installed with the Thorens TAS257 cartridge, a
high-quality moving-magnet pick-up suitable for all MM phono inputs.
