Modulus VJ4 1994 4.075kg #941610 GIB Yokohama

Description

Modulus is a brand known for designing high quality basses with carbon graphite necks.
It is used by many artists such as Flea RHCP and Ue-chan Maximum the Hormone.

This model is a masterpiece finished in Modulus style with JB's style as a motif.

Characterized by the speedy sound and responsiveness of a carbon neck.
Despite this, I feel that the great appeal is that the sound is musical and has beautiful nuances.

The pickup and preamp are EMG.

It doesn't have a truss rod, but that's what gives it such a supple sound.

I had some doubts as to whether the body was original because of the gap in the neck joint, the unfamiliar control cavity, and the subtle conductive paint.
However, the joint screws were familiar from Modulus.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.

The condition of the neck is slightly warped.
Currently, the string height above the 12th fret is 2.0mm on the 1st string side and 2.5mm on the 4th string side, and it can be played without jamming or buzzing.
There are scratches and small dents scattered throughout. There are paint bubbles all over the grip.

The condition of the body and painted surface is that there are scratches and dents of a few mm here and there.
There are traces of sanding near the elbow cut, and the luster has disappeared.
There are areas where the paint is cloudy on the side of the body.
There are two cracks in the paint near the neck pocket.

The electrical system is in good condition.

The pegs have been replaced with GOTOH ones, and the bridge has been replaced with KTSPR-03WB1.
The knob has been replaced with HaramisMusicalHardwareFlatTopBarrelKnob.
The strap pin has been removed. This is not included.

A few screws on the back panel are missing.
